Houre

Houre

A calm place for your thoughts, encrypted on your device, synced across every screen, and readable only by you.

Your notes, as a stream

Houre feels like texting yourself. Open it and you land in the feed: a single chronological stream of everything you've written, newest at the bottom, right above where you type. There's no blank page to face and no folders to set up first. Type a thought, send it, and it's captured.

Everything the feed grows into

Capture from anywhere

The fastest note is the one you never had to open the app for. On desktop, a global shortcut drops a small capture window on top of whatever you're doing. Type, press Enter, and it's gone. On your phone, share text or a link into Houre from any app.

Organize with projects

Everything starts in your personal feed. When a set of notes belongs together, like a trip, a work stream, or a grocery list, group them into a project with its own name and color, then filter the feed to see just those.

Connect notes with tags

Type # anywhere in a note to tag it, choosing from tags you already use as you go. Tap a tag to pull up every note that carries it as a filtered feed, so a topic stays easy to follow across everything you've written.

Find anything instantly

Search is instant and works offline, matching the full text of your notes.

Share a project, still private

Invite someone by email and a project becomes shared, with notes syncing between you in real time. It stays end-to-end encrypted the whole way: the server only ever holds ciphertext, and a key fingerprint on every invitation lets you confirm you're connected to the right person.

On every device, online or off

Native apps for desktop and mobile share one encrypted core. Edits sync the moment you make them, and everything keeps working with no connection. Write, edit, search, and reorganize offline, and it all catches up when you're back.

Lose your phone, keep your notes

Every note you sync is also kept safe on our servers, still locked with your key. If your phone is lost, stolen, or broken, sign in on a new one and your notes come right back, just as you left them.

Built for the keyboard

On desktop the whole feed is keyboard-navigable: arrow keys move between notes, Enter starts editing the selected one, Escape steps back out. There's no save button; edits are written continuously as you type.

Private by default, from the very first note

Every note is encrypted on your device before it ever leaves, and only you hold the key. A subscription pays for Houre, so your notes are never the product.
